Whitehorse-based Inn Caters to Corporate Travelers
By robin

The Midnight Sun Bed & Breakfast, which opened in Whitehorse late last year, is pleased to announce the creation of a new corporate travelers package. The package includes reduced rates, airport and local transfers, and a complimentary daily newspaper.
The Yukon 's newest inn, the Midnight Sun has already gained considerable popularity with business travelers for its comfortable, family-style atmosphere and its approach to making business travel more enjoyable.

Farshid & Del Amirtabar, owners/operators, noted, "Our philosophy is to keep it simple and offer the same level of comfort that we would expect if we were on a business trip.  There is so much to worry about when traveling for business, we try to make people feel like they are returning their personal sanctuary after a long day of work in a strange city."

The non-smoking property features four soundproofed, luxury rooms, each with its own theme.  The exotic Persian and Egyptian rooms are reminiscent of "Arabian Nights" and are the only Middle-Eastern-themed rooms in the Yukon.

The Northern and Victorian rooms offer an interesting contrast and are decorated in a style more typical of North America. Each room includes a private bath, phone line, cable television and high-speed Internet access.  All guests have access to a private lounge with a big screen television, private kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker and 24hour complimentary coffee /tea /snacks.  A full/deluxe hot breakfast is prepared daily.  Laundry facilities are also available.

The "home away from home" approach seems to be working’ as corporate travelers have been known to spend more than a month at the property.  Ken Steinberg a lawyer with Steinberg & Company said, "I was here for 1 month and my stay was very enjoyable.  Farshid and Del did everything they could to make my absence from home something special.  I look forward to my return in November".
